So many things have happened since then!

Hi everyone,
We are almost finished April and haven't let you know about the things we are doing together with some volunteers:
Here you go:
In January and February we were working hard at home with Ariel ( who's coming back tonight) with the tiles. I mean we set up tiles in a room and a bathroom.
Malene, a girl wanting to study spanish , spent almos 5 weeks with us and then went to live with a traditional family in the Andes to learn from them about how they do their living.
Now we do have Andrew, from Maryland, who is going to Señor de la Soledad School.
On the other hand, Jon is also working at Fe y Alegría School.
I can say that all of them are doing a good job.
Ok dear friends, I hope to come back soon with more details.

I almost forgot!
I need to congradutulate Sindy, our executive director, because of her wedding with Jorge Quintana!!!
I wish you both the best in the world!!!

Volunteers are working hard!

Hi dear friends,
It's been quite a long time that I haven't let you know about our volunteers.
Well, since June, various volunteers came and already left home.
For example Noam ( our first Israelian) was working in SENATI institute. There he was helping yooung adults to learn English related to computers, machines and so on. He did a great job.
Stephanie, helped at Robert M Smith School leading preparation lessons for Cambridge University English exam. Thank you SDtephanie, you did a really nice job. Students were asking where you went. They are missing you a lot.
We do have Erin, Mike and Claudia yet. They are going to SENATI, Fe y Alegrìa and Señor de la Soledad School. Students are really happy with them.
Ok guys, till next time

"A lot of water is running under the bridge"

The heading is a saying in Peru to mean that many things are taking place that need to be mentioned!
That's right!
For example Kaytlin arrived and left after 4 weeks. Louise and her became good friends and decided to see more of Peru and traveled together.
Richard White arrived and head off after a couple of weeks. Two days ago, Rhys ( from Australia) left after 5 weeks. He did a great job at Fe y Alegría School with Sindy the local teracher. He also started writing a story for kids to learn Englsih called " Kenny the Kangaroo" Kenny finds a newspaper in Australia with a picture of the beautiful landscape in Huaraz and decides to come to Huaraz... I promised him to translate the story into spanish for kids in Australia.
Rosie, ( who also helped in the story mentioned above) is currently volunteering in Huaraz. She is going to stay here until June the 4th. She is also going to Fe y Alegría School both levels, primary and secondary.
Now, Maggie is coming in June the 9th. She will be volunteering in the same school: Fe y Alegría. We hope she also will enjoy her time with us.
Thank you very much and it will be next time when I come back to let you know what it is going on with volunteers !!!
